Meet Annette
Founder of Up Up Dog Training
Annette is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the world-renowned Karen Pryor Academy and holds her Canine First Aid Certification through DogSafe. She is also a board member of the Alberta Force Free Alliance. Annette received her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in sociology, from the University of British Columbia before becoming a professional dog trainer. She has a wealth of experience working with dogs of all different breeds and sizes and is dedicated to only using science-backed, positive reinforcement based training methods.
Although Annette has always loved dogs, her journey with training began when she rescued her dog, Bear. Bear suffered from anxiety, trauma and fear due to his past and it took a lot of work to help him start to heal. His progress, however, truly inspired Annette to the point where she decided to do a hard pivot in her career and become a dog trainer. She is committed to empowering dogs and their guardians so that they can live a freedom-filled life together.
